SPECIAL FACILITIES

45 by 37 metres of floor space are at your disposal. With these dimensions and its facilities, the Werkstattbühne has no parallel in the region. The multifunctional black box creates the ideal conditions for every occasion thanks to what it’s capable of in terms of staging, decor and facilities. It features a grid floor that spans a large part of the space and can support suspended loads of up to 37.5 tonnes. It also comes with a mobile control tower, a six-metre-wide and nine-metre-high drive-in bay for small trucks, and can accommodate decor up to nine metres in height. Whatever the requirements – pop or rock concert, business forum, product presentation, ball, or trade fair – the congress centre can handle even large-scale events thanks to the Werkstattbühne. Two indoor cranes on the side stages make it easier to set up large structures.

For congresses and conferences, the Werkstattbühne can be combined with the main stage of the Großer Saal and with side stages 1 and 2 to customise a space perfectly suited to your requirements. This results in a capacity of up to 3,700 visitors and makes it possible to stage a wide range of events. And with the skilful use of lighting, the space can also be made to seem smaller.

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Multifunctional black box
  • A wide range of events can be staged
  • Access for small trucks
  • Delivery possible via 6 x 6m lifting platform at street level

OTHER SPECIAL FEATURES

The Werkstattbühne can be transformed into a fascinating event location with sound and light shows or openings – indoor fireworks displays will also amaze the people attending your event. Not only that. The theatre space can also be equipped as a recording studio or rehearsal stage. It’s used that way by the Bregenz Festival every year in the summer months.

The Werkstattbühne has a bright, new foyer, which was created as part of the 2023 refurbishment and is used as an audience entrance area. Consequently, several events can generally take place at the same time without interfering with each other. However, access to the Werkstattbühne remains possible via the main entrance to the Festspielhaus.

Professionally staging events in an empty space of this size requires a great deal of expertise and props. Our team is there to help and advise you on this, too. The Festspielhaus Bregenz has its own workshop with a metalworking shop, carpentry shop, decor and scene painting, props, stage design, and costume department, including all the specialist staff who are on hand to create the perfect staging for your corporate event.
